Meet Chaya Katz
Born and raised in Miami Beach, Chaya Katz has a deep love for her community and a passion for helping young people discover their potential. As Director of CTeen Miami Beach, Chaya is dedicated to creating meaningful experiences that inspire teens to grow, connect, and develop a strong sense of Jewish identity.
For years, Chaya has worked closely with children and teens, guiding them through some of the most important stages of their lives. Her warm personality, genuine care, and ability to connect with every teen make her a trusted mentor and role model within the community.
Through innovative programming, leadership opportunities, volunteer initiatives, social events, and Jewish experiences, Chaya empowers teens to build confidence, form lasting friendships, and make a positive impact on the world around them. She believes that every teen has unique strengths and is passionate about helping them discover their purpose, embrace their values, and become leaders of the future.
Under her leadership, CTeen Miami Beach has become a vibrant community where teens feel welcomed, inspired, and proud to be part of something bigger than themselves.
Meet Rabbi Mendel Katz
Born and raised in Miami Beach, Rabbi Mendel Katz is passionate about helping teens discover their unique strengths, develop confidence, and uncover their inner spark. As Director of CTeen Miami Beach, he is dedicated to creating meaningful experiences that empower teens to grow as leaders, deepen their Jewish identity, and make a positive impact on the world around them.
After growing up in the Miami Beach community, Rabbi Mendel continued his studies in Toronto, where he spent years learning, mentoring, and working closely with Jewish teens from diverse backgrounds. Through his work, he developed a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing today's youth and discovered his passion for guiding teens through some of the most formative years of their lives.
Known for his approachable personality, genuine care, and ability to connect with teens on a personal level, Rabbi Mendel strives to create an environment where every teen feels valued, inspired, and capable of achieving great things. Whether through leadership programs, community service initiatives, social events, Shabbat experiences, or one-on-one mentorship, his goal is to help each teen recognize their potential and embrace the unique role they can play in the Jewish community and beyond.
Rabbi Mendel believes that every teen possesses a powerful inner light. His mission is to help them discover it, nurture it, and use it to illuminate the world around them.
